Hi! I am Diane Mercer. I am starting my 12th year, here at Quail Run.  Houston County Schools are my favorite: I am a product: attending Parkwood Elementary, Tabor Jr., and Northside High.  I received my BS in Early Childhood/Special Education from Macon State (Middle GA.) 

When not at school, I am with family.  I am married to Mark, who is nearing the end of his commitment in the United States Air Force Reserves.  We have 3 boys.  Our oldest, Tyler and his wife Jessica, are stationed in Alaska, Alex is a UGA Grad and lives in Atlanta, and our youngest, Matt, is in his 3rd year at UGA. We, also, have 2 Goldendoodles, Lexi and Lucy.  In our spare time we love to travel, camping at the many RV Parks around the state.

Teaching IS a joy. I absolutely love those "lightbulb" moments and you see the excitement in students' eyes. There is no greater satisfaction.  I cannot wait for this next year to begin.
