Ms. Carswell graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Psychology. After graduation, she attended South College, completing her second Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She holds a Master's degree in Elementary Reading and Mathematics from Walden University. She is currently finishing her Ed. D. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. 

Ms. Carswell has two daughters and has been teaching for 18 years.
