Hello! My name is Lauren Downey, and this is my sixth year teaching first grade at Quail Run, I hold a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University, a master's degree in Elementary Education from ACE and recently just completed my specialist degree in Elementary Education from GSW! I am also Orton-Gillingham trained and passionate about supporting early literacy development in all learners!

I live in Warner Robins with my husband, our almost one year old and our two rescue dogs! I absolutely love teaching and being able to watch my students grow both academically and personally. I am grateful to be part of such a wonderful school community and look forwards to another amazing year in first grade!
