Hello! My name is Lauren Downey, and this is my fifth year teaching first grade at Quail Run, I hold a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University and a master's degree in Elementary Education from the American College of Education. I am currently pursuing my specialist degree in Elementary Education from GSW to continue growing as an educator. I am also Orton-Gillingham trained and passionate about supporting early literacy development iin all learners! 

I live in Warner Robins with my husband and our two rescue dogs, and we are so excitred to be welcoming a baby boy into our family soon! I absolutely love teaching and being able to watch my students grow both academically and personally! I am grateful to be part of such a wonderful school community and look forwards to another amazing year in first grade!
